Moshwani Payan Middle School for Boys

Moshwani Payan Middle School for Boys

The school was renovated by OAAW with the help of the Afghanistan Foundation in April 2011. The school serves over 650 students from grades 1 to 8 and has 45 teachers. The school has a library, volleyball court, outdoor playground, and a small garden. Our clinic, located within walking distance from the school, serves as the primary health center for these students. OAAW provides free dental hygiene lessons and distributes dental kits to the students at the beginning of each school year.

Summary

Our Mission

It is estimated that 70 percent of 10-year-olds in low- and middle-income countries are unable to read and understand a simple story. Helping children feel prepared and empowered to learn is a big part of OAAW’s mission in education.

“I’ve never known any trouble that an hour’s reading didn’t assuage.”

Arthur Schopenhauer

With OAAW’s continual support for the operation and improvement of the school, students at Aymini now have a place that provides learning, stability, and support.

OAAW currently seeks to buy more books for the new library.

Our organization is the only monetary provider for keeping this facility up and running.
