Moshwani Payan Elementary School for Girls

Moshwani Payan Elementary School for Girls

The school was constructed in March of 2015 and is located approximately one mile north of our Moshwani Clinic in the village of Moshwani Payan. The elementary school serves 220 students from 1st to 6th grade. In 2016, OAAW raised funds to plant over 70 trees, build a new library, and a new volleyball court in order to give the students a pleasant learning environment. OAAW provides free dental hygiene lessons and distributes dental kits to the students at the beginning of each school year. OAAW currently seeks to buy more books for the new library.

Summary

Our Mission

It is estimated that 70 percent of 10-year-olds in low- and middle-income countries are unable to read and understand a simple story. Helping children feel prepared and empowered to learn is a big part of OAAW’s mission in education.

“Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow.”
